Voluntary return - Migrations
Voluntary return
What is the Voluntary Return Program?
The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, through the State Secretariat for Migration and the General Directorate for Humanitarian Assistance and Social Inclusion of Immigration, offers the possibility of voluntarily returning to their countries of origin those third-country nationals who meet the requirements established by each annual call for subsidies.
How are voluntary return projects managed?
On the one hand, these projects are managed through non-profit entities and are co-financed since 2015 by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI).
In addition, through an agreement with the International Organization for Migration, the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration project is managed.
The voluntary return programme contains two types of projects:
- Assisted voluntary return and reintegration projects: aimed at third-country nationals who find themselves in a situation of special vulnerability that can be verified through the Social Services of their area of residence or specialized NGOs.
- Productive voluntary return projects: aimed at third-country nationals who wish to undertake a business project associated with return.
